Meet Nik
Nik concentrates his practice on residential and commercial real estate transactions. He takes special pride in helping people buy and sell homes, real estate investors make a living, and lenders of all sizes ensure their loans are protected. Nik has a diverse clientele and is adept at addressing the unique concerns and needs that each client brings to the table.
Nik’s transactions range from a first-time buyer’s purchase of a $90,000 studio condominium to a $15,000,000 commercial transaction for one of the area’s largest multifamily operators. He has represented more than 100 first-time homebuyers and he currently represents more than a dozen active real estate investors and developers in all of their transactional legal needs. Besides practicing law, Nik oversees business development for the firm and helps all Ligris attorneys grow and strengthen their business and professional networks.
Nik also works closely with the institutional clients that rely on Ligris for their legal, settlement, and title needs. He brings passion, excitement, and common sense to all aspects of his work, every day.
Outside the Office
Nik loves spending time with his two sons, Stavros and Christos, and his wife, Georgia. You can catch him on the soccer field in the fall or spring, at a basketball court in the winter with his kids, or you can find him escaping to the Berkshires year-round with his family.

Background
Nik started his real estate career in 1999 as a rental agent, helping students and young professionals find apartments in the Greater Boston Area, including Allston, Brighton, and Brookline. In 2002, Nik started working in the residential lending and mortgage business. Starting off as a mortgage loan officer, he quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a sales manager and eventually a branch manager overseeing both sales and operations for one of the nation’s largest direct lenders.

Nik prides himself on the fact that most of his business is based on referrals. Loan officers, real estate agents, appraisers, bankers, and other financial professionals trust Nik to solve issues and negotiate deals for their clients and friends.
Because Nik has been a real estate agent and a mortgage loan officer, it’s rare to come across a complexity in a real estate transaction that he hasn’t already seen and resolved. Nik has personally conducted over 1,000 closings in his career, and he continues to actively represent community banks, regional mortgage lenders, and national lenders with the same excitement and passion as when he conducted his first closing.
